Following several years of working as an on-air personality for leading radio stations in Nashville, Cincinnati, and Alabama, DJ Dimepiece joined Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI-FM as the first female DJ in the station’s history. Since breaking into the DJ scene, Dimepiece has been widely recognized as one of the most talented women in the industry, garnering the Global Spin Female DJ of the Year, the Global Mixx Best Female DJ of the Year, and two S.E.A. Female DJ Awards and being casted on VH1’s Master of the Mix, Season three.

Q: What do you consider the most important part of your wardrobe?
A: My shoes! You can tell a lot about a woman by their shoes and mine are high like my standards.
Q: What could you not live without?
A: In the words of LL Cool J, “I can’t live without my radio”. Radio is my world.
Q: Who are you listening to right now? Whats the playlist?
A: J. Cole, “Power Trip” and the album “Born Sinner”, hottest album out right now.
Q: If you could describe a perfect day/night what would it be?
A: Somewhere warm, tropical, relaxing on a beach with someone sexy to enjoy it with.
Q: What is the number one thing that moves you on a regular basis?
A: Money. Lots to get out there and I’m trying to get it while I can.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: I’ll be a Music Mogul and a wife/mother with a syndicated radio show and touring with the stars.
Q: Who was the #1 influencer in your life?
A: My mother, strongest and most beautiful person I know.
Q: Do you prefer intimate gatherings or larger events and why?
A: If I don’t know you, I keep me distance. I’m comfortable in intimate settings where I know and are familiar with what’s around me.
Q: Where has been your favorite place to travel?
A: Amsterdam. Loved it there when I play Highschool basketball over there and promised myself to go back. Still have to fulfill that promise.
Q: Do you think your vote counts?
A: Of course my vote counts. I may be one voice, but it will be heard.
Q: What’s your favorite guilty pleasure?
A: I love to watch “Family Guy”. I have the whole DVD Series. Hilarious!
Q: If you could choose only one word that describes you perfectly, what would that one word be?
Q: At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
A: When I stepped out on faith, left everything I had and moved to Chicago with no job, I never looked back.
Q: What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
A: Nothing. I wouldn’t change a thing because I vow to always be myself.
Q: What are you most grateful for?
A: For having such a wonderful, God fearing mother. Without her, I wouldn’t be half the woman I am today.
